On my server, I have programs to tell me IP numbers and the exact URL of the hot linked graphic. READ: Anytime a file is accessed from a server it is recorded on a log file. If someone links to an image on a site on somebody elses server it recognizes the website that the file was accessed from and records it. The law states that log files are considered to be legal evidence and can be used to support and prove theft in court.
Don't make me do this. I pay for my webspace, you don't, so do not direct link my graphics or I will change the graphic on your site with no apologies from me and I'll be contacting your server. Anymore mp3s direct linked and I'll delete them. It's sad a few inconsiderate people prevent me from making the site the way I really want to. We all lose.
